Predatore
In the late 1950s, Italy started developing the Predatore medium tank, designed to replace the outdated M47 Patton. The vehicle was supposed to combine enhanced armor, powerful armament, high mobility, and low fuel usage. Instead of the self-proven torsion suspension, a dependent support system with rubber shock absorbers was proposed, reducing the chassis weight. By the mid-1960s, the project was closed. The military purchased imported mass-produced vehicles, and the Predatore remained at the blueprint stage.
